NERYSSA was created in the leafy foothills of South Australia. Each piece is hand crafted by Angela Vlachos in her home studio; drawing inspiration from nature’s ephemeral beauty, creating treasures to last lifetimes.
I first unearthed my love of creating jewellery during a metalwork course in my senior years of secondary school about 10 years ago. Although unexpected, I completely fell in love with every part of the metal working and jewellery production process.
Throughout my early 20s, no matter where I stepped in the direction of other career paths, I couldn’t help but feel drawn back to precious metals and gems… So I began undertaking courses to hone my skills in jewellery design and manufacturing, stone setting, business and marketing.
At 25, I made the decision to leave my full-time 9 to 5, and create space to pursue jewellery creation and business part-time. In 2022, NERYSSA Fine Jewellery was born.
Meet the maker
Through NERYSSA I want to create a brand that I feel genuinely proud of. Creating wearable art that encourages social and environmental consideration. I want to utilise my platform, and any future successes to give back to my community. Both personally and as a business owner, I am incredibly passionate about actualising values of social consciousness through my brand, and I’m excited about exploring philanthropic opportunities as NERYSSA expands.
